I absolutely love history and nostalgia, and my latest venue had plenty of both. Not to mention it was located in beautiful Palm Springs, with sunny, seventy degree weather. Needless to say, the band and I had great time performing a VIP dinner show at famous Hollywood actress Greta Garbo’s La Casa Estate March 24th.
The estate is rumored to be haunted so we kept an eye out for any paranormal activity. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your perspective, we found nothing to report. The beautiful courtyard however provided a wonderful environment for the evening. Set to a back drop of Palm Trees and the San Bernardino Mountains, romance was definitely in the air. I brought my Jazz ensemble for this show and we provided an hour and a half of entertainment, performing timeless love songs from the Big Band, Swing Era. Many thanks to Greg Cater with Western Candy Company for the invite. It was a wonderful evening that we won’t soon forget.
